Tree Problems

By contacting a tree expert your tree may be saved.

To decide whether to remove a dead or diseased tree, a number of questions need to be asked, the pros and cons weighed.

  • How healthy is the tree? If 50%  is damaged, it probably should be eliminated.
  • Is there trunk damage? Vertical cracks, seams, dead branch stubs and large, older wounds suggest internal decay.
  • Is the tree hollow? If 1/3 of the interior of the tree is hollow or rotten, it should be removed.

Let our team of tree experts analyze your tree(s) to determine if they are healthy.  If we determine there is an issue, we will provide a professional analysis of the problem and a recommendation for corrective action.

Winter Pruning

Pruning during dormancy is the most common practice. It results in a vigorous burst of new growth in the spring. Best to wait until the coldest part of winter has passed.

Summer Pruning

There are several reasons for pruning soon after seasonal growth is complete. It reduces the total leaf surface and amount of food manufactured and sent to the roots. Another reason is for corrective purposes. Defective and heavy limbs can be seen more easily,

Selective pruning can save a tree!
